The Picture Perfect Painting

Kathryn, and Molly had been the best of friends forever. Molly was an awesome artist, and everyone thought so too. Kathryn on the other hand, I guess you´d say was artisticly challenged. Kathryn did not think of herself as a horrible artist. In fact she admired her own work.
Every year, their school had an art contest. They were both going to enter. It was their first time doing it because they had to be in 7th grade, and finally this was their year.
"I´m gonna start on my painting for the contest," said Kathryn. "Well actually, I think I´m gonna paint three and choose my favorite!"
"And I´ll do the same!" said Molly.
Immediately they both began their first paintings. By the end of the week they had both painted all three of their paintings. Molly had a painting of a flower, a lake, and a forest scene. Kathryn had painted a painting of a bird, a mountain, and a sunset.
"Oooohhh! I like my painting of the mountains! Don´t you!?" exclaimed Kathryn.
"Ummmm.....Yeah! I looooove it," Molly said, unsure if she should tell her the truth.
The next day was the art contest. Kathryn was soooooo sure that she had no competition, though others thought of her as no competition.
"I think I´m gonna win!" Kathryn said.
"Umm...Well....Good luck!" Molly said, and then she ran off.
The art was presented and the judges were making their decision.
After about 20 minutes the judges were ready.
Judge Allison said "After a long discussion, we have decided that 1st place will be.... Molly Hanagon! Second will be Mary Kate, and third is Kelly!"
"I won! I won! I won!" screamed Molly.
"Well....Good job," Said Kathryn.
" You did good too. But to tell you the truth....I think your great at sports! But I honestly...dont think that art is you thing. I´m sorry," Molly said, relieved that she got that out.
"Don´t be! I was just so into it. Just... so detirmined, because I was jealous of your artistic abilities," Kathryn explained. "I´m sorry."
"It´s okay. Hey, its like how you are the best soccor player on the team! I am so amazed when you score all those goals, and play defender. I could never do that!"
"You´re right! Let´s just stick to the things we´re good at," Kathryn said. " Maybe I´ll enter the dance contest next month!"
"Kathryn!"
"Just kidding!"
