Use these guidelines when determining into which categories to enter your video:

Best Original Song (lyrics and music)

You must have written both the lyrics and the music by yourself

You may have someone play your music off camera while you sing

Best Original Lyrics (lyrics only)

You must have written the lyrics by yourself

You do not have to sing your lyrics, you can read them

Best Original Music (music only)

You must have written the music by yourself

You must play the music by yourself

Best Performance (performance only)

You may sing either your original song or a cover by a musical artist

You may dance or perform to any music

Best Singer

You can use ANY song (even if you didn't write it)

You do NOT have to have the music playing while you sing

You can enter any category as often as you'd like with different videos or enter the same video in multiple categories – just remember each entry requires a separate processing fee. If you decide to sign up, but not upload your video until later, you have the duration of the competition to submit your performance – so make sure what you upload is your personal best!
